7Steps to Get Your Wonderful Makeup

cheesy on Jun-23-2009

1. Avoid wearing too much

Makeup is meant to enhance features not bring negative attention to you. That’s what wearing too much makeup will do; it will bring you unwanted attention. Don’t wear too much of anything such as:

i) Eyeliner: dark, thick eyeliner will make you look overdone and will ruin the rest of your makeup.

ii) Mascara: too much mascara looks fake and will flake. It looks especially bad if worn with thick eyeliner or dark blue eye eye shadow.

iii) Foundation: Make sure your foundation is the same color as your skin. Foundation is meant to protect and give the face a smooth look. The magic word is blend.

iv) Powder:The same holds true for powder - not too much. Also, be sure to blend your makeup so there are no obvious lineS

2. Lips

Apply lip liner to completely cover the lips, add color and your lipstick will stay on much longer. Make sure your lip liner doesn’t show. Also, your lip color should match your skin tone; wear cool colors if you have cool coloring and warm colors if you have warm coloring. If you want to make your lips look smaller, keep your liner on the inside of your lips. However, if you decide to make your lips look larger, going outside the natural outline of you lips is a mistake. This can look quite messy and unnatural.

3. Appropriate makeup
Wear makeup that is appropriate for the occasion. If you are going to the beach you shouldn’t wear the same or as much makeup as you would if you were going dancing. Also, when you are in daylight your makeup should be a lighter than when you are out for the evening.

4. Too little or no makeup

Some women don’t wear makeup because they are not sure how to use it and are afraid of being overdone. If you are unsure, start will light colours in your shade. Start slowly and add one product at a time. Maybe start with foundation, add mascara, blush or lipstick. If you are not used to wearing makeup, using a lot a first may be a little too much for you, so start slowly. The bottom line is a little is better than none. If you are still unsure seek professional advice.

5. Overall look

When your makeup is completed it should look natural. That means avoiding colours that clash. If you have dark skin and hair you will look better in darker shades; light colours will make you look washed out. If your hair and skin tone are light, light colours will look better on you. Dark makeup will make you look older and harsh. If you have oily skin, first use oil control moisturizer and foundation. Then be sure to wear loose powder, keeping pressed powder with you for touch ups.

6. Hair color

Your hair color should also be in harmony with your skin. If you have dark hair and you want to add color, keep it close to the same shade. If you have light hair, use light colors. As you age your skin will lighten, so should your hair color. One last thing about hair color - if you do color you hair be sure you keep it up, don’t let your roots show.

7. One last thing

Keep makeup looking fresh all day by doing regular touch ups. Don’t let your makeup fade or crease. Smile!!!

cheesy on Jan-4-2009

Increasing age or aging is a natural process that must be faced by every human being. It is inevitable. By increasing age, the body’s ability will decrease and also give impact to the face. Wrinkle starts appear on the face skin that is not elastic anymore. But this does not mean you can not appear beautiful. Yes, Make up is one of the solutions. How?

With right make up tricks, you can obscure the signs of aging. But before you put make up on your face, make sure that the cosmetics you use are still feasible to use or not expired.

What should be done during the make-up so you can look younger? Here are some steps that you can apply.

* Toner and moisturizer
Before you put your make up on; always start with cleaning you face and neck with the cleansing, toner, and moisturizer. So your make up will get maximum result.

*Base powder
Use the base powder (foundation) so the make up colors you’ll put on can go perfectly on your face. Select a color foundation that one level higher than the color of your skin.

*Concealer
Use concealer to help disguise spots on the face or acnes. Concealer can also be used to disguise the eye bag.

*Brush and Sponge
When using the powder, first use the brush and next use sponge to distribute evenly.

*Eye shadow
Select colors of eye shadow that can help the face look fresh and young such as green, peach, and purple, gold.

*Eyeliner
For the eye, so that the face has a younger look, you should not use eyeliner. Or if you want to use them should not use too thick eyeliner. Just use pencil eyeliner.

*Blush on
You should choose blush color on a natural color such as pink or peach color.

*Lipgloss and Lipstick
Choose a lipstick color the same as or one level higher than the color of lips. Avoid lips with a color that contrasts too. You can also add lipgloss so the lips look so fresh.

*Eyebrow pencil
Shape your eyebrow so it looks neat and tidy. And to emphasize the eyebrow, select a dark brown rather than black, because black color will make the face look older.

There are many beauty products that can create and refine the skin young and more beautiful. Be careful choosing those products. Products that inserted into your body could have side effects to you. But with proper use of cosmetics and some make up tricks, you can also appear more beautiful and young.

Kiss Me Heroine Mascara

cheesy on Dec-1-2008

[ad#468x60]

I just got a gift from a friend of mine who now is studying master degree in Japan.. One of the gift is a mascara. She said it’s very cheap but has good quality. I don’t like wearing mascara because I always got itchy and it made my hand always touching my eyes accidentally.
So, no wonder i always have panda eyes when i wear mascara.

I didn’t wanna try it at first. Then, I saw the packaging is so cute, I open it and want to see how it look inside. I tried to apply it after it.
Surprisingly, after few hours, and woke up from my nap. My eyes was still clean and my eyelashes look perfect as the look I first applied it.
I decide to wash my face but the mascara still won’t come off and there isn’t any black stain on my eyes circle.
At night, I went back home, I want to clean out my face from make-up. I was afraid that the mascara still won’t come off. But, after I put my mascara remover it is very easy to clean up.

Wow, i love this product!
Now, I can wear mascara without worrying having panda eyes. My eyelashes will look perfect all the time.

What you guys think? What is your best mascara? Please come and share

Eye Makeup Tips

cheesy on Nov-18-2008

Before you learn how to apply makeup, you need to know what kind of makeup you’re applying. There’s makeup for the face, eyes, eyebrows and lips. You certainly don’t have to use makeup on all of your facial features, but you can. If you decide to use facial makeup, or concealer, make sure to get a concealer shade that matches your face. If you’re concealer is too dark or too pale, it will stand out. If you have nice skin, you can bypass concealer or, you can apply it to areas that contain blemishes.

Formal eye makeup tips will allow you to look glamorous no matter if you are heading out for the biggest night of your life or if you are just hanging out with friends. To look glamorous, you need to know just how to apply makeup correctly, to achieve the desired, finished look. Learning how to put on eye makeup does not have to be a difficult process either. Here are several key steps to make your wedding or prom pictures truly amazing.

Use your fingers for working the foundation on one area of your face. It is better if you are moving your fingers in circular motion, and after you have finished this finger-walk, you can use sponge for the final working of the foundation.

Techniques of Eye Makeup

It doesn’t matter the size or shape your eyes, with the proper makeup techniques you can change the shape of your eyes. You can make your eyes appear bigger, wider and even more dramatic with these simple easy tips.Do you have small eyes? Use pale color up to the crease, contour crease with a dark, smoky color, smudging often.

Apply your foundation first over your entire face before you start on your eye makeup. You need a good canvas to work with.

Choose an eyelid sparkler in soft, metallic cream and dab a smidgen of it on your lids. Then sweep a pressed powder  eye shadow in metallic copper also on your lids to add a dark, sexy glaze. Use a clear mascara to lengthen your lashes. You want to keep the attention to your eyes, so a touch of champagne gold lipstick will be enough to complete the look.

Apply an eye shadow primer from lash to brow to make your eye makeup last. You can skip this step if you prefer. Using a makeup brush or eye shadow sponge, apply the medium shade from lashes to the crease of your eyelid.

Your First Makeup Tools Kit

cheesy on Nov-14-2008

Achieving a flawless face isn’t just about the makeup, but how it’s applied. The right tools can help you achieve your makeup goals more precisely and easily. Every makeup brush, like other makeup tools, has its own function. But you don’t need them all. Choose the tools that make sense for you. Makeup tools may include cosmetic Brushes, Cosmetic Containers, Makeup Mirror, Tweezers, Cosmetic Bags, Eyelash Curler, Cosmetic Case and Makeup Kits.

One should take right tools for wearing makeup as they are very important like makeup. Makeup tools have a tendency to be underrated aspect and overlooked for large numbers of women. Makeup accessories for most of women contain lip brush, powder puff or little makeup brushes. If one who is cared for makeup brushes in the right manner, makeup tools can be last for numbers of years. Before buying makeup brushes, one should examine that brushes should be full and soft and feel easy in the hand. If bristles of brushes come out, do not buy the brushes as it can make worse for the skin.

Good quality brushes are essential if you want professional looking makeup. In my opinion, they are the most important tools a girl can have in her bag. The two main brushes that you need are for powder and blush, both of which should have soft, natural bristles.

Some Makeup Tools
Makeup sponge - For applying foundation. You can also apply foundation with your fingers, if you find this easier. However, dabbing on foundation with a makeup sponge will give you better coverage. A triangle-shaped makeup sponge is the best tool for applying foundation as it reaches areas such as the sides of the nose and the corners of the eyes. Any excess blusher and flaky eye makeup can be wiped away with a makeup sponge.

Eye liner brush - Powdery eyeshadow can also be used as an eyeliner by applying eyeshadow with a damp, narrow brush. A narrow brush gets right to the base of the lashes. You can also apply liquid liner with an eye liner brush.

Sponge applicator - Use a sponge applicator to apply eyeshadow to the eyelid. Starting from the outer corner of the eye, blend the eyeshadow using a shading brush.

Concealer brush - The concealer brush is slightly flat. It helps hide circles under the eyes, patches around the nose, and any small flaws and blemishes neatly and naturally. The bristles should be fairly firm as a soft-bristled brush may create an uneven finish.

Powder puff - Use a powder puff to apply loose powder over foundation and touch up makeup throughout the day. For an even matte result, apply powder by pressing, not dragging the powder puff over the skin. Tap any excess powder from the puff onto the back of your hand for a light result.

Lumene - Facial powders always include a powder puff.

Eyelash curler - It is an absolutely essential tool for your makeup. While it may look like a mini medieval torture device, this tool is actually extremely helpful in opening up the eye and adding a dramatic look to any makeup creation. The key when using an eyelash curler is to learn how to hold it.

Other great products to have in your kit include slant tweezers, a brush cleaner and good-quality makeup brushes. With tweezers, the important thing to remember is to buy a pair that has textured ends for easy grip and painless hair removal.
